Eclipse Phase “Think Before Asking” Chapter 3: Endless Corridors
Friday Jun 12, 2020
Friday Jun 12, 2020
The team steps fully into Nicotine Eldridge’s specialty: fear. With the evaluation program activated, Vector, Nila, and Maxine push through twisting corridors and impossible architecture as the habitat’s custom-tailored terror routines dig into their histories, doubts, and old wounds. Clinging to one another as much as to their mission, they fight to separate simulation from reality long enough to reach the heart of the system. There, among server racks and surveillance feeds, they finally come face to face with the architect of these experiences—and uncover a new lead that points them beyond the swarm and toward whoever is truly moving dangerous cargo through the shadows of Saturn.
About the Chronicle
Think Before Asking is an Eclipse Phase scenario (originally written by Anders Sandberg and adapted to second edition) run on the scum swarm Failance Recourse, a tangled mass of salvaged habitats drifting around Saturn. In this story, the player characters are Firewall sentinels embedded in a lawless, reputation-based society full of experimental morphs, illicit tech, and fringe philosophy.
Firewall suspects that a quantum-triggered antimatter device—capable of being detonated instantly from anywhere, by someone who can never be traced—has been smuggled into or through the swarm. The chronicle follows Vector, Nila, and Maxine as they navigate scum politics, shady pilots, and fragile social networks, trying to locate the weapon, understand who built it, and decide what to do with something too dangerous for anyone to own. It’s a mix of investigation, social engineering, and transhuman horror, steeped in Eclipse Phase’s trademark questions about identity, power, and how far you go to stop an existential threat.

Eclipse Phase “Think Before Asking” Chapter 2: Terms and Conditions
Wednesday Jun 10, 2020
Wednesday Jun 10, 2020
The investigation pushes deeper into the scum swarm as Vector, Nila, and Maxine follow their only lead to a strange, remote habitat with a reputation no one seems eager to explain. A tense visit with the local traffic control gang gives them just enough information to move forward, sending them toward a place where architecture bends, shadows linger, and the welcome is anything but ordinary. There, an unusual offer is made—one that promises insight but demands participation in something the locals call a “fear algorithm.” With no clear path ahead and the stakes rising, the team must decide how far they’re willing to go in pursuit of the truth.

Eclipse Phase “Think Before Asking” Chapter 1: The Question in the Box
Sunday Jun 07, 2020
Sunday Jun 07, 2020
On the drifting scum swarm Failance Recourse in orbit around Saturn, three Firewall sentinels are pulled out of their chaotic lives for a job that feels too big to be real. Vector, a forked infomorph tech; Nila, a hardened jack-of-all-trades with militia experience; and Maxine, a ruthless mind-hacker and psychosurgeon, are briefed in a surreal VR art gallery by their proxy, “Maestro.”
Their assignment: follow the faint trail of an antimatter device with a quantum-entangled trigger—an impossibly expensive, impossibly dangerous weapon that passed through Hicks Landing Station months ago and was last traced to their very swarm. With only partial scans, a suspicious old shuttle called the Lando Lando, and a pilot with capitalist leanings in a post-capitalist society to go on, the team begins pulling at the first threads: reputation networks, traffic control logs, and old contacts who may know more than they’re willing to say. As they plan their first moves, it becomes clear that even asking the wrong question in the wrong place could get them—and everyone around them—killed.

Eclipse Phase “Body Count” The Final Chapter: Exit Strategy
Friday May 22, 2020
Friday May 22, 2020
As the triad’s covert operation inside the morph impound center starts to unravel, the team is forced to improvise under mounting pressure. A tense ID check, an overeager baboon, and a hacked service bot turn a quiet evidence snatch into a chain reaction of chaos, alarms, and accidental fire. With rangers on high alert, technicians scrambling, and alerts rippling through the building, the crew must split their efforts between misdirection and extraction—protecting the precious cortical stack while trying to find any way out that doesn’t end in a lockdown… or a shootout.
About the Chronicle
Body Count is an Eclipse Phase Second Edition nano-op run by Twin Cities by Night, set in the tense, neon-lit sprawl of Noctis-Qianjiao on Mars. This chronicle follows a Sunon triad crew forced into a high-risk retrieval operation where identity, loyalty, and survival constantly collide. Focused on infiltration, espionage, and the fragile line between death and data, Body Count explores a world where egos can be copied, bodies are replaceable, and information is the most valuable— and dangerous—currency in the system.

Eclipse Phase “Body Count” Chapter 2: Heat in the Halls
Wednesday May 20, 2020
Wednesday May 20, 2020
The team’s infiltration of the morph impound center grows far more complicated as unexpected attention, system alerts, and rising tension inside the facility force them to adapt quickly. What began as a controlled recovery effort soon becomes a test of fast thinking, quiet coordination, and creative misdirection. With personnel on high alert and movement through the building tightening, the crew must navigate shifting obstacles, find new routes, and stay ahead of escalating chaos if they hope to slip out unnoticed. This second episode raises the stakes as every hallway, every choice, and every second counts.

Eclipse Phase “Body Count” Chapter 1: Stacks on the Line
Sunday May 17, 2020
Sunday May 17, 2020
On Mars, death is an inconvenience—unless your memories fall into the wrong hands. In Noctis-Qianjiao, the Sunon triad is in crisis after their man Shu is killed in a clash with the Martian Rangers, and his cortical stack now sits in an impound center full of cops, cameras, and baboon-backed patrols. In this opening episode, we meet Ellis, Chi, Burke, and Pivo, a crew of counterfeiters, hackers, and heavies sent to walk straight into a ranger facility under forged identities, pose as officials, and quietly reclaim Shu’s stack before anyone can crack it open. As the team flies over the domes of Noctis and moves through security checkpoints toward the morgue, the stakes are clear: if the rangers access what Shu knew, the triad’s entire operation—and everyone in it—could be exposed.

Eclipse Phase “Grinder” The Final Chapter: The Last Course
Friday Apr 24, 2020
Friday Apr 24, 2020
The deeper Cell pushes into Grind’s sealed kitchen, the stranger—and more dangerous—everything becomes. Packed into a narrow maze of pressure cookers, vats, and extrusion printers, multiple copies of Galiadre work frantically while something wrong bubbles just beneath the surface. A glimpse of the blue container confirms Firewall’s worst fears, but getting close to it means slipping through a chaos of cloned chefs, boiling oil, and microgravity hazards without blowing her cover.
When everything finally breaks loose, subtlety goes out the airlock. With security scrambling, guests panicking, and the kitchen itself turning hostile, Cell is forced into brutal, split-second choices: how far she’ll go to stop a potential outbreak, who she’s willing to shoot her way past, and whether securing the object is worth the cost to everyone trapped inside the restaurant. This final episode brings Grinder to a tense, volatile conclusion as Cell fights to escape Extropia’s most exclusive dining room with both her mind and her mission intact.
About the Chronicle
Grinder is an Eclipse Phase Second Edition nano-op run by Twin Cities by Night, set on the anarcho-capitalist habitat of Extropia. The story follows newly recruited Firewall sentinel Cell as she’s pulled from shady contract work into the shadow war against posthuman existential threats. Blending espionage, transhuman horror, and high-stakes social maneuvering, the campaign explores what it means to trade bodies, identities, and loyalties in a world where your mind can be copied, your morph is disposable, and a single overlooked artifact might doom far more than one asteroid city.

Eclipse Phase – Grinder Episode 2: Among the Copies
Still reeling in her borrowed body, Cell pushes deeper into Extropia—through Vat City’s morph shops, along the chaotic main drag, and into the gleaming tunnel of “The Noodle,” where prestige restaurants float in microgravity and reputation is worth more than gravity ever was. At the entrance to the Helm Hotel and its famed restaurant Grind, she finds a scene already spiraling out of control: a furious Nova crab wrestling celebrity being denied entry on “security” grounds. Leaning into her new identity as Galiadre, Cell steps into the confrontation, leveraging Extropian contract law, quick thinking, and her infosec ally Nael to slip herself—and her unintended ally—past the scanners and into the fundraiser.
Inside, Cell navigates a room full of glitterati, floating art, and carefully curated luxury, all while multiple copies of “herself” move in and out of the restricted kitchen. Playing the role of a high-end chef and server, she works the floor, gathers impressions, and hunts for any sign of the suspected TITAN artifact. With the mesh dead beyond the “Galiadre Only” door and security watching over the room’s prized artwork, the real danger seems to be tucked away in the unseen spaces of the restaurant—exactly where Cell now needs to go.

Eclipse Phase “Grinder” Chapter 1: Sleeved for Service
Sunday Apr 19, 2020
Sunday Apr 19, 2020
When a Firewall alarm pings on Extropia, private investigator Lee “Cell” finds herself drafted into something far bigger than contract disputes and corporate espionage. A seemingly routine shipment of exotic ingredients hides suspected TITAN tech, and a famous restaurateur is about to carry it straight into the heart of her own kitchen. Resleeved into a black-market copy of the chef’s morph and hurled into microgravity chaos, Cell must fight through body shock, nerves, and Extropia’s ruthless culture to infiltrate the restaurant Grind and locate the mysterious blue container—before anyone has a chance to “serve” it.
This opening episode focuses on tense setup and identity-bending preparation: adapting to a new body, navigating Extropian society, and stepping into deep cover for Firewall, all while the clock ticks down toward an unknown threat.

Wednesday Feb 05, 2020
Wednesday Feb 05, 2020
With the server cracked and the truth of Decator unearthed, the real pressure begins on the long trip back to Extropia. Locked in a courier ship with a pre-Fall intelligence, a hungry data archaeologist, and Firewall orders that arrive on a half-hour delay, Hex, Nyal, and Sava are forced to decide what Captain really is to them—person, weapon, or loose end.
As negotiations move into simulspace and old Earth memories surface, the sentinels stumble onto a buried truth that reaches all the way into the modern hypercorp boardrooms. The contract they agree to, and the secrets they choose to share—or bury—will shape more than just their paydays. In the end, The Black Spot isn’t about what they found in the rock, but about the lines they cross to keep transhumanity safe… or convinced that it still is.
About the Chronicle

This story follows a small cell dispatched to investigate a rumored pre-Fall data cache—one that could be priceless, corrupted, or catastrophically compromised.
