As a new year turns, Sir Goliston’s standing at court quietly rises—his name now spoken with respect, his skills polished under the eye of a foreign dancing master. On the road to Camelot, grim news reaches him about those once bound to his fallen benefactor, casting a somber shadow over the coming Pentecostal festivities. When Goliston joins a royal hunt for a fabled unicorn, he instead discovers a fine white horse and a stranded young lady in the depths of the forest—only for the encounter to twist unexpectedly just as chivalry and attraction begin to spark.

Blood and Lust is a King Arthur Pendragon duet campaign of chivalric drama and mythic adventure, featuring Adam as Sir Goliston and Craig as the game master. Set in the Romance Period of Arthur’s reign, the chronicle follows a single knight’s rise from poor, landless squire to a figure whose choices echo across Logres. Rather than racing through battles and famous legends, the story lingers on the intimate details of a knight’s life—duty to lord and family, the temptations of love and glory, and the tension between Christian virtue and worldly desire. As Missouri Crossing gathers for its long-awaited harvest festival, the settlers try to lose themselves in music, dancing, and simple joys—but unease clings to the edges of the celebration. Hazel (once Margaret) blends into the crowd in her new disguise, testing the limits of the strange ritual she performed and hoping her plan will draw danger into the open. Gregory struggles to balance family, fear, and the growing tension between his two closest allies, while young Abigail experiences the first flutter of festival excitement.
All the while, a mysterious showman’s tent becomes the talk of the gathering, its crackling lights and whispered wonders drawing townsfolk like moths to a flame. As cheers rise and the crowd presses closer, an unshakable feeling settles over the group: beneath the laughter and cider, something is quietly watching… and waiting.

On a cold Sunday in Missouri Crossing, the settlers gather for mass and to finally lay the unknown woman from the river to rest. As Father Nas prays over an unclaimed grave, talk of law, safety, and the coming winter hangs heavy in the air. Bjorn, Gregory, and Russ quietly lay plans to confront the men who profit most from the town’s vices, hoping answers about the death might be forced into the light. Meanwhile, Margaret’s attempt to learn more through Carol takes a disturbing turn, hinting that something unseen is reaching into people’s minds. Amid it all, Gregory is reminded that life goes on—his eldest daughter looking toward the harvest dance and the future, even as unseen dangers close in around them.

Shaken by their brush with an uncanny hound in the dark, Sir Goliston and Baldrick finally ride into a strange, thriving borderland where wealth flows, war seems distant, and the Tower of the Sea rises over reclaimed waters. Welcomed with legendary wine and fine hospitality, Goliston struggles to balance courtesy, faith, and temptation in a hall where everyone seems just a little too content. When the count’s “wife” secretly seeks him out by night, he learns she is a captive in all but name—and begs him to risk guest-right, reputation, and perhaps his life to free her and a priceless relic from her lord’s grasp. At dawn, a grim patrol through storm and flooded dikes shows Goliston the cost of keeping this fairy-tale land intact as the fateful feast she has promised draws near.

Charged to seek a fabled vintage and unravel the mystery of a captive countess in a strange land, Goliston rides west with young Baldrick at his side, eager to earn stories worth telling.
What begins in high spirits soon sours into mud, midges, and long, lonely miles through unfamiliar country. As doubt creeps in and the romance of questing gives way to its hard reality, the pair make camp in the deep woods—only to wake to low growls in the dark and gleaming eyes circling the firelight at the edge of the trees.

As he navigates the city’s glittering courts—testing his courtesy, studying heraldry, and witnessing the grandeur of Arthur’s household—he discovers that even the smallest gestures can catch the eye of powerful knights. A generous patron steps forward. A priest tests his faith. And the Round Table itself fills with legends whose names Goliston has only ever heard in song.
Then comes the long, sleepless night of the vigil: prayers whispered under stained glass, the weight of prophecy heavy on his mind, and the cold certainty that dawn will change everything. By sunrise, he stands before King Arthur—gloved blow, sacred oath, shining spurs, and all—and rises at last as Sir Goliston, a sworn knight of Britain. From the cheers of the hall to the laughter that greets his first awkward leap into the saddle, the young knight finds himself welcomed into a world he has dreamed of his entire life… and one that has only just begun to test him.
