In the hot and restless summer of 2011, the Twin Cities simmer with tension — and the kindred who dwell within them can feel the weight of their choices closing in. As dawn approaches, fractured loyalties and lingering sins demand to be answered for.
Warren faces the consequences of devotion twisted into cruelty. Lenny confronts the ghosts he’s created. Valentine seeks meaning in the voice that whispers through his veins. And Kaetao and William find themselves hunted by the unseen powers that rule the city from the shadows.
The night is long, the blood runs deep, and in the silence between heartbeats, something ancient begins to stir.

Lenny faces the reflection of what he’s becoming — a monster shaped by purpose, cruelty, and guilt. In the fires of the Echo Projects, the chains begin to tighten.
Valentine finds himself face-to-face with a being who walks through chaos like a god—offering purpose, power, and a price. Meanwhile, Kaetao, Lenny, William, and Warren push their captives to the edge of madness, trying to unravel the web that’s ensnared them all.
As truths bleed through violence, it becomes clear that every act—every cruelty—draws them closer to something vast and ancient pulling the strings behind the city’s unrest.

It follows Katrina, Raymond, Isabel, and Frank as they navigate memory, mask, and meaning after impossible experiences.
