Gregory’s work to secure land for the settlers leads him deeper into the heart of Missouri Crossing’s power structure. A quiet stare from a well-dressed gambler draws him into a tense card game with stakes far beyond money, while a meeting with the town’s shrewd land agent forces Gregory to negotiate hard just to give his people a fighting chance. Deals are struck, signatures promised, and the foundation of a new community begins to take shape—though not without cost.
As construction preparations start along the river, an unexpected reunion brings warmth to Gregory’s camp: his brother Georgie arrives to share a meal, a bottle, and memories of home. But even in moments of comfort, hints of hardship and vulnerability surface. With new land claimed, uncertain allies made, and the prairie stretching wide and watchful around them, the settlers step into a future that feels full of promise—and quietly, undeniably, full of risk.
About the Chronicle
Call of Cthulhu – Down Darker Trails: Missouri Crossing is a Western horror campaign set in 1867, using the Down Darker Trails supplement for Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition. The story follows the founding generations of Missouri Crossing, a rough camp town in what will one day become Bismarck, North Dakota—decades before the events of The Ultimate Evil. As immigrants, veterans, and drifters stake their claim on a cold, contested landscape, they must navigate community, lawlessness, prejudice, and the brutal realities of frontier life. Against this backdrop of manifest destiny, “northern horror” takes shape: long distances, bitter weather, scarce resources, and the creeping realization that some things lurking beyond the firelight are far worse than bandits or hunger.

With Father Nos at his side and the community’s pooled savings in his pocket, Gregory steps into the Glasgow Silver Dollar to negotiate for land and a future. There, over whiskey and under the eyes of cardsharps, working girls, and watchful dogs, he’s measured by a smooth-talking local power who seems very interested in what kind of man Gregory really is. By the end of the night, the settlers may be closer to claiming a piece of Missouri Crossing—but the town has started claiming a piece of them in return.

Scion “Under the Lonely Sky” Chapter 3: The One Who Listens
Wednesday Jun 23, 2021
Wednesday Jun 23, 2021
Following the chaos in Douglas, Alex, Farö, and Morales head west into the dark prairie, guided by Weston and the strange pull of a single star burning alone in the sky. What begins as a careful approach quickly turns into a tense crawl toward an isolated camp where ash-marked centaurs gather around a woman feverishly repeating symbols and snatches of music only she seems to understand.
As the scions watch from the shadows, it becomes clear she is trying—and failing—to hear something beyond the world they know. Her frustration, her drawings, and the centaurs’ behavior all point to a force reaching through the silence of the night. What she wants remains unclear, but one truth settles heavily over the group: if she succeeds, they may not like what answers.
About the Chronicle
Scion: Under the Lonely Sky is a Scion Second Edition one-shot by Twin Cities by Night. It follows three modern demigods on a northbound road trip toward the Canadian wilderness, pushed along by the whims of their divine patrons. What starts as cramped-car bickering and casual mythic banter quickly becomes a tale of eerie omens, small-town tension, and the thin line between the mortal world and the beings who move behind it. Featuring Becca, Jorin, and Slavic, this story blends road-trip drama, mythic weirdness, and creeping unease beneath a sky that refuses to shine.

Scion “Under the Lonely Sky” Chapter 2: Hooves in the Dark
Sunday Jun 20, 2021
Sunday Jun 20, 2021
A quiet night in Douglas doesn’t stay quiet for long. As Alex, Farö, and Morales try to unwind after the long road north, strange rumors in the bar stir new questions—talk of centaurs acting unlike anything the locals have seen before, gathering in unusual numbers and growing bolder by the day. A tense atmosphere settles over the group, and just when it seems like nothing more than small-town unease, the night erupts into chaos.
Forced to react on instinct, the scions must protect themselves and the people around them, pushing their divine talents further than they intended this early in their journey. When the dust settles, one thing becomes clear: whatever is driving the centaurs isn’t random, and all signs point west—toward a single distant star hanging alone in the sky, and toward answers none of them expected to chase.

Scion “Under the Lonely Sky” Chapter 1: Smoke on a Starless Night
Wednesday Jun 16, 2021
Wednesday Jun 16, 2021
On an almost empty Wyoming highway, three scions—Alex Hollinger, Farö Midand, and Blanca Morales—are hours deep into a road trip that was never really theirs to refuse. Frayed nerves, cramped seats, and clashing ideas of leadership are bad enough… until they realize the night sky above them is nearly empty of stars. A strange column of smoke on the horizon and a stampede of ash-marked centaurs force the trio off script and into the small town of Douglas, where a dented divine car and a friendly trucker are the least unsettling things they’ll encounter. Under the lonely sky, something is wrong, and their gods’ orders suddenly feel more ominous than divine.

In Death Masks, Marco Giovanni returns to Rita’s secluded estate—where apology and devotion intertwine in chilling ritual. What begins as a confession unfolds into revelation, forcing Marco to face the truth about loyalty, power, and the family’s ancient expectations. Beneath the surface of civility lies ceremony older than Venice itself, and a descent that blurs where faith ends and the grave begins.
This chapter of Idolon captures the essence of the Giovanni clan’s legacy—measured, elegant horror layered in history and quiet dread.
About the Chronicle
“Eidolon” is the fourth major arc in the Twin Cities by Night Vampire: the Masquerade continuity — following Negligence, Homecoming, and Dread — yet it also stands alone as an introspective, horror-laced drama.
Set in the fall of 2010, Eidolon explores themes of death, obligation, and the unseen cost of power. The story follows Marco Giovanni, a necromancer drawn into the Twin Cities by the command of an elder, where he must expand his clan’s reach while contending with his own haunted past.
A duet chronicle between Adam (as Marco Giovanni) and Chris (as Storyteller), Eidolon continues Twin Cities by Night’s tradition of exploring the personal horror at the heart of Vampire: the Masquerade — this time, through the eyes of one man bound by ghosts both living and dead.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Twin Cities by Night “Eidolon” Chapter 11: The Cost of Control
Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
The night begins with blood, silence, and the weight of choices that cannot be undone. Marco Giovanni and Jamie find themselves deep in the consequences of survival, bound together by secrecy and necessity. What was meant to be a simple hunt spirals into something far more revealing—about Marco’s nature, his guilt, and the quiet, consuming hunger that drives him.
As the pair retreat from the chaos, conversation turns into confrontation. Jamie challenges Marco’s growing recklessness and forces him to reckon with what he’s becoming. Beneath the surface, threads of family, loyalty, and shame tighten, drawing both of them closer to the truth about Rita Giovanni’s intentions and the unspoken question: why was Marco really sent to the Twin Cities?
A late-night drive becomes a confessional, where the line between duty and damnation blurs. In the end, Marco and Jamie set their sights on the only person who can give them clarity—and perhaps absolution—before everything unravels.

About the Chronicle
The Beginning of the End is a 13th Age tale set during the waning years of a desperate empire. A small group of unlikely companions is thrust into a web of betrayal, demonic influence, and political decay as they try to prevent Axis from falling into enemy hands.

13th Age “The Beginning of the End” Chapter 9: Before the Blackened Walls
Wednesday Jun 02, 2021
Wednesday Jun 02, 2021
With Dragon Hall saved and an army of monsters and allies at their back, Sir Hugo, the King, Hexar, and Hezerella march toward the fallen city of Fourstar Nagar, where the Diabolist has rooted herself in corruption and shadow. On the long road north, the company is forced into hard choices: how to feed a vast host without destroying the land they hope to save, which brutal allies to trust with their flanks, and how to take a cursed border city that stands between them and their goal. When dire news arrives from the heart of the Empire, the question of what to tell their soldiers becomes as dangerous as any blade. By the time the warhost reaches the blackened walls of Fourstar Nagar and the final siege begins, every decision they’ve made has shaped the army—and the fragile hope they carry into the Diabolist’s lair.

13th Age “The Beginning of the End” Chapter 8: Fire Over the Black Fleet
Sunday May 23, 2021
Sunday May 23, 2021
On the deck of the Lich King’s flagship, the disguise is gone and subtlety burns away in the first clash of steel and spellfire. Hemmed in by ghoul packs, stitched monstrosities, and the suffocating weight of necromantic magic, Sir Hugo, the King, Hexar, and Hezerella are forced to gamble everything on a desperate push through the dead to reach the enemy admiral at the heart of the invasion. As bodies fall and souls are strained past their limits, each decision on the blood-slick planks of that ship ripples outward—toward the fate of the fleet, the besieged city of Axxis, and whatever darker designs are still waiting beyond this single, terrible victory.
