13th Age “The Beginning of the End” Chapter 1: Shadows at the Gate
Sunday Dec 27, 2020
Sunday Dec 27, 2020
Eight years after the fall of Forstor Nagar, the Empire stands on a knife’s edge. Demonic forces press against the walls of Axis, and the capital’s defenses are stretched thin. When Sir Hugo—disgraced, aging, but still unbreakably loyal—uncovers whispers of a conspiracy that could open the city to its enemies, he gathers a small, volatile band of allies to act before it’s too late.
In this opening chapter, the group meets within the cold halls of Sir Hugo’s family estate to piece together what little they know: a traitor with influence, a mansion too close to the emperor’s palace, and a plot threaded with serpents and secrecy. Old grudges, new scars, strange powers, buried pride—each companion brings their own demons to the table as they plan the infiltration that may decide the fate of the Empire.
This first episode sets the stage for a tale of espionage, loyalty, and the slow, inevitable pull toward catastrophe. The beginning of the end rarely announces itself. Sometimes it starts with a whispered rumor… and the sound of steel being drawn in the dark.
About the Chronicle
The Beginning of the End is a 13th Age tale set during the waning years of a desperate empire. A small group of unlikely companions is thrust into a web of betrayal, demonic influence, and political decay as they try to prevent Axis from falling into enemy hands.
Blending character-driven storytelling, high-stakes intrigue, and the chaotic magic of 13th Age, this chronicle follows the same living-world continuity established in prior Twin Cities by Night adventures—while forging a path that leads into darker, far more dangerous territory.

13th Age “Heart Snatchers” Final Chapter: Heart of the Living Dungeon
Friday Dec 25, 2020
Friday Dec 25, 2020
Guided by a goblin’s secret and pressed by the Elf Queen’s expectations, the party crawls through a hidden passage and emerges before a sealed door that only elven magic can undo. Beyond lies a vast throne room at the dungeon’s core, where the prize they’ve chased—the fabled Heart—rests within arm’s reach… and under the watchful eyes of an undead elven ranger and her terrifying draconic guardian. Steel, poison, shadow, and wildfire clash as Space, Azorella, the King, and Gurgon throw everything they have into a desperate battle that tests loyalties, tempers, and the limits of their strange partnership. When the dust settles, a single choice about duty, power, and who they really serve will carry them far from the dungeon’s maw and straight into the heart of elven politics.
About the Chronicle
Heart Snatchers is a 13th Age story set in the same world as the earlier Fourstar Nagar adventure, but can be enjoyed on its own. It follows a small, volatile company of elves and outsiders on a desperate quest to recover a powerful artifact—a living Heart that could tilt the balance in the ongoing struggle between the Empire, the Diabloist, and the Lich King. With a rival search party rumored to be led by an undead ranger and the Heart sealed inside a dangerous living dungeon, the chronicle blends over-the-top heroics, grim humor, and high-fantasy peril as these unlikely champions try to save elvenkind… or die messily in the attempt.

13th Age “Heart Snatchers” Chapter 2: Bridges and Bargains
Wednesday Dec 23, 2020
Wednesday Dec 23, 2020
With the dungeon’s jaws closed behind them, the party steps into a ruin that feels more like a devoured castle than a cave. Strange shifting lights pull shadows across stone, and an echoing corridor leads them to a chasm-spanning bridge where ghouls and goblins are locked in a desperate, chaotic battle. Forced to choose between wading into the fray or sneaking past it, the heroes confront the uncomfortable question of who counts as an ally when everyone down here is monstrous. A candy-cane-decked goblin chief, a glimpse of an undead elven ranger in the dark, and the promise of a hidden path deeper into the dungeon bring new tensions to the group—especially as bargains are struck, potions change hands, and the way to the Heart finally begins to take shape.

13th Age “Heart Snatchers” Chapter 1: Ash and Hunger
Sunday Dec 20, 2020
Sunday Dec 20, 2020
As war rages between the Empire, the Diabloist, and the Lich King, a band of elves and “elf-adjacent” misfits gathers in the treetop village of Featherglade with a single purpose: find the legendary Heart hidden within a newly surfaced living dungeon. Azorella the Vain, the larger-than-life warrior known only as the King, the unsettlingly chitinous Gurgon Vizerious, and the shadow-shrouded thief Space are welcomed as honored guests—good food, strong drink, and wary respect from the isolated wood elves. But when the forest gives way to scorched earth and the dungeon’s gaping, toothlike maw, the welcome ends. The heroes’ first steps toward the Heart are tested by lurking monstrosities, hidden dangers, and the clashing egos of a party that may be as hazardous to itself as any enemy waiting in the dark below.

Friday Dec 18, 2020
In the frozen heart of 1989, the Sabbat pack known as The Nothing faces the end of their journey — and the truth of what they’ve become. Broken, hunted, and scattered through the dark veins of the Twin Cities, each member stands at a crossroads between revelation and ruin.
What began as a mission to uncover a silent pack’s disappearance now spirals into something far deeper — a confrontation with belief, identity, and the seductive promise of freedom. As faith fractures and loyalties dissolve, the surviving members must decide whether to cling to what remains of their humanity or embrace a rebirth that may strip it away forever.
Walking Out of Eden marks the haunting conclusion of Sorrow, a tale of loss, temptation, and transformation within the cold winter nights of the World of Darkness.
About the Chronicle
Sorrow is a tale of loss, depression, and fractured faith — a deeply personal story that returns to the somber roots of Vampire: The Masquerade. It follows a new cast of characters, each haunted by their mortal lives and the price of immortality, as they navigate duty, despair, and the need to belong.
This chronicle continues the interconnected world of Twin Cities by Night, expanding the saga that began with Negligence, Homecoming, Dread, and Ghouls: Fatal Addiction – Servitude. It can be experienced on its own or as part of the full continuity.

Vampire: the Masquerade - Twin Cities by Night “Sorrow” Chapter 11: The Breaking Point
Wednesday Dec 16, 2020
Wednesday Dec 16, 2020
Inside a house that feels more like a confession than a shelter, the surviving members of the Nothing are pushed beyond reason. Each step forward exposes what they fear most — the illusions they’ve built around love, loyalty, and freedom — and the lies they’ve told themselves to survive.
In this chapter, unseen hands twist the familiar into the unbearable. Promises of liberation turn into cages, and ghosts from past lives claw their way into the present. For those who remain, the question is no longer what they’re fighting for, but who they truly are once everything has been stripped away.

Drawn deeper into the city’s frozen outskirts, the Nothing follows a new ally into the dark veins beneath Minneapolis—tunnels older than the Sabbat, carved by generations who never left their mark on any map. What begins as a simple task becomes an unraveling of faith, loyalty, and purpose as one pack member descends into the depths while another is pulled toward something calling from the storm above.
In the dark, memories bleed into revelation. Every step forward exposes the roots of something ancient and patient—a hunger buried long before any of them were born, and one that has been waiting for someone to return.

13th Age "Control" Final Chapter: The Eye of Control
Friday Dec 11, 2020
Friday Dec 11, 2020
The ruse has carried them as far as it can. With forged papers, borrowed armor, and a very cooperative “corpse,” the party finally steps into the emperor’s palace—the place where Control’s influence feels heavy enough to bend thought and memory. Silent guards, perfectly ordered halls, and eyes that never quite blink all point toward a single destination: the throne room.
There, a desperate ritual is set in motion, meant to drag the newborn icon into reach. Instead, the world itself seems to turn inside out, hurling the group into a twisted realm of floating stone, writhing tendrils, and watching eyes. In this final episode, the adventurers make their stand at the very heart of Control’s power, where every choice, every blow, and every act of defiance becomes a statement about what free will is worth—and what they are willing to pay to keep it.
About the Chronicle
13th Age: Control is a standalone dark fantasy one-shot set in a world after the classic clash of good vs. evil has already been “won.” Instead of playing noble champions of the Empire, the group steps into the boots (and claws) of villains, monsters, and outcasts brought together by a single shared interest: they need people to stay capable of wanting things—even if those wants are ugly.
It’s a compact story built to showcase 13th Age’s big, swingy action and its flexible, icon-driven worldbuilding—all through the eyes of the so-called bad guys trying to keep the world from being “saved” into obedience.

13th Age "Control" Chapter 2: The Gates of Featherfall
Wednesday Dec 09, 2020
Wednesday Dec 09, 2020
The aftermath of the night’s chaos leaves the group with one clear truth: Control’s influence is spreading faster—and deeper—than any of them expected. As the villagers go about their strangely calm routines, the trio prepares their next move, knowing the capital lies only an hour away… and that entering it openly would be a death sentence.
A plan takes shape—disguises, forged identities, and a careful approach meant to slip beneath the notice of those already touched by Control. But even as the adventurers make their way toward the towering white walls of the capital, they begin to understand how thoroughly the city has changed. Silent streets, orderly lines, and expressionless guards hint at a presence far stronger than rumor suggested.
Episode 2 follows the group as they step across the threshold into enemy territory, navigating a city where every gaze feels watched and every breath feels monitored. What awaits at the heart of this place remains unseen—but the path toward the throne room has begun.

13th Age "Control" Chapter1: The Price of Free Will
Sunday Dec 06, 2020
Sunday Dec 06, 2020
A long and bloody war between good and evil has finally ended—but the victors refuse to trust the world with its own choices. As a new power of Control rises, mortals across the land grow quiet and compliant, their wills sanded down to polite smiles and endless work. In the shadow of the capital, a small village called Feather is already falling under this unnatural calm… except for one isolated safehouse where resistance still breathes.
Summoned by the last vestiges of “evil,” a dark elf ranger and her monstrous pet, a jaded demonologist with a talent for dangerous pacts, and a hungry ghoul with very simple tastes are sent to do what heroes will not: break the machinery of Control before free will is erased altogether. What begins as a simple “deal with the soldiers at the door” quickly spirals into a clash with shining avatars, clockwork enforcers, and the awful question at the heart of it all—what are they really saving the world for?
