13th Age "Control" Final Chapter: The Eye of Control
Friday Dec 11, 2020
Friday Dec 11, 2020
The ruse has carried them as far as it can. With forged papers, borrowed armor, and a very cooperative “corpse,” the party finally steps into the emperor’s palace—the place where Control’s influence feels heavy enough to bend thought and memory. Silent guards, perfectly ordered halls, and eyes that never quite blink all point toward a single destination: the throne room.
There, a desperate ritual is set in motion, meant to drag the newborn icon into reach. Instead, the world itself seems to turn inside out, hurling the group into a twisted realm of floating stone, writhing tendrils, and watching eyes. In this final episode, the adventurers make their stand at the very heart of Control’s power, where every choice, every blow, and every act of defiance becomes a statement about what free will is worth—and what they are willing to pay to keep it.
About the Chronicle
13th Age: Control is a standalone dark fantasy one-shot set in a world after the classic clash of good vs. evil has already been “won.” Instead of playing noble champions of the Empire, the group steps into the boots (and claws) of villains, monsters, and outcasts brought together by a single shared interest: they need people to stay capable of wanting things—even if those wants are ugly.
It’s a compact story built to showcase 13th Age’s big, swingy action and its flexible, icon-driven worldbuilding—all through the eyes of the so-called bad guys trying to keep the world from being “saved” into obedience.

13th Age "Control" Chapter 2: The Gates of Featherfall
Wednesday Dec 09, 2020
Wednesday Dec 09, 2020
The aftermath of the night’s chaos leaves the group with one clear truth: Control’s influence is spreading faster—and deeper—than any of them expected. As the villagers go about their strangely calm routines, the trio prepares their next move, knowing the capital lies only an hour away… and that entering it openly would be a death sentence.
A plan takes shape—disguises, forged identities, and a careful approach meant to slip beneath the notice of those already touched by Control. But even as the adventurers make their way toward the towering white walls of the capital, they begin to understand how thoroughly the city has changed. Silent streets, orderly lines, and expressionless guards hint at a presence far stronger than rumor suggested.
Episode 2 follows the group as they step across the threshold into enemy territory, navigating a city where every gaze feels watched and every breath feels monitored. What awaits at the heart of this place remains unseen—but the path toward the throne room has begun.

13th Age "Control" Chapter1: The Price of Free Will
Sunday Dec 06, 2020
Sunday Dec 06, 2020
A long and bloody war between good and evil has finally ended—but the victors refuse to trust the world with its own choices. As a new power of Control rises, mortals across the land grow quiet and compliant, their wills sanded down to polite smiles and endless work. In the shadow of the capital, a small village called Feather is already falling under this unnatural calm… except for one isolated safehouse where resistance still breathes.
Summoned by the last vestiges of “evil,” a dark elf ranger and her monstrous pet, a jaded demonologist with a talent for dangerous pacts, and a hungry ghoul with very simple tastes are sent to do what heroes will not: break the machinery of Control before free will is erased altogether. What begins as a simple “deal with the soldiers at the door” quickly spirals into a clash with shining avatars, clockwork enforcers, and the awful question at the heart of it all—what are they really saving the world for?

In this third prelude, the settlers of Missouri Crossing move beyond numbers, equipment, and logistics, revealing who they truly are beneath the dust of the trail. Bjorn, Gregory, and Sister Margaret explore their deepest values, their vices, and the emotional baggage they carry with them into the frontier—grief, guilt, pride, faith, and the hope for redemption. The conversation touches on family bonds, old wounds, private indulgences, and the dreams each character holds for the future as they ready themselves for a long and uncertain journey west. As connections form between the travelers—some practical, some personal—their individual stories begin to intertwine, setting the tone for a campaign rooted in humanity, hardship, and the quiet horrors waiting beyond the campfire light.
About the Chronicle
Call of Cthulhu – Down Darker Trails: Missouri Crossing is a Western horror campaign set in 1867, using the Down Darker Trails supplement for Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition. The story follows the founding generations of Missouri Crossing, a rough camp town in what will one day become Bismarck, North Dakota—decades before the events of The Ultimate Evil. As immigrants, veterans, and drifters stake their claim on a cold, contested landscape, they must navigate community, lawlessness, prejudice, and the brutal realities of frontier life. Against this backdrop of manifest destiny, “northern horror” takes shape: long distances, bitter weather, scarce resources, and the creeping realization that some things lurking beyond the firelight are far worse than bandits or hunger.

Call of Cthulhu: Down Darker Trails "Missouri Crossing" Prelude 2: Scars of the Past
Wednesday Dec 02, 2020
Wednesday Dec 02, 2020
In this second prelude, the settlers of Missouri Crossing stop talking about numbers on a character sheet and start talking about where those scars came from. Gregory, Sister Margaret, and Bjorn refine their skills and histories through optional “experience packages” that reveal who has served in the war, who walked a beat as a lawman, and who now carries phobias, manias, and half-healed wounds because of it. As they discuss money, wagons, and how they’ll actually reach the Dakota territories—whether as cowhands, missionaries, or a family hauling a forge west—their personal reasons for leaving the crowded cities come into sharp focus. By the end of the prelude, faith, trauma, duty, and quiet desperation have all taken shape, setting a grounded, human foundation for the Western horror to come on Down Darker Trails.

As the dust of the Civil War settles, three very different souls fix their gaze on the far horizon and the promise of a new life. In this prelude, we meet Gregory Smith, a hard-working blacksmith chasing a cleaner future for his family; Sister Margaret Miller, an English woman of God haunted by the blood-soaked memories of war; and Bjorn Haggman, a Norwegian lawman looking to outrun grief and start over with his son. Around the table, they sketch out who these settlers are, why they would risk everything to head west, and what it means to build a fragile community on stolen land at the edge of the American frontier. Between character creation and talk of tone, the episode lays out a world of lawlessness, harsh winters, and empty prairies where nature, human cruelty, and something far older all share the same dark horizon.

As the Valley settles after the chaos of the god-killing weapon, the trio barely has time to breathe before the next crisis arrives. In the days leading up to Halloween—when the barriers between worlds grow thin and strange things walk freely—a grieving figure bursts into the castle with a demand that shakes everything they thought they’d left behind.
Searching for someone who should not be missing, the Scions find themselves pulled back toward an old mystery, one that never fully resolved and now casts a much longer shadow. With divine eyes turning their way, promises made and promises broken begin to carry weight, and the cost of heroism starts to feel far more personal.
What follows is part reckoning, part unanswered question, and part doorway into what comes next. It is an end, but not a quiet one—because in the Valley of the Setting Sun, even epilogues have teeth.
About the Chronicle
The Valley of the Setting Sun is a Scion Second Edition chronicle set in modern-day Phoenix, where divine power sleeps just beneath the heat-hazed pavement. The campaign follows a band of Scions as they awaken to their true heritage, receive their Visitations, and step into a world woven with prophecy, danger, and the weight of mythic legacy.

Call of Cthulhu "Hotel Hell" Final Chapter: hat the Water Takes
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
In the drowned quiet beneath the Seven Stars Hotel, terror reaches its breaking point. Desperation, fractured trust, and the suffocating belief that the end of the world is unfolding just outside the walls push the group toward an unthinkable decision. As something ancient stirs beneath the water and the truth of the mural reveals itself in impossible light, the last survivors must decide what they’re willing to sacrifice—what they must let go of—if there is any hope of stopping what’s coming.
In this concluding chapter, panic and revelation collide in the flooded basement, where a widening portal stretches toward a landscape that shouldn’t exist. Voices whisper, loyalties break, and the Seven Stars demands a final offering. Whether salvation or damnation waits beyond that threshold is a question no one is prepared to answer—but the water is rising, and time is gone.
About the Chronicle
Hotel Hell is a Call of Cthulhu miniseries that follows a group of ordinary people bound together by an inherited hotel and the promise of a new beginning in the far northwest corner of British Columbia. With no cell coverage, only spotty satellite phones, and miles of wilderness between them and the nearest town, Jared, Deborah, Christy, and Dan must rely on one another—and on a crew of local workers—as they tackle leaking basements, broken windows, and the unsettling history written into the Seven Stars’ foundations. Run by Chris as Keeper of Arcane Lore and starring Quinn as Jared, Becca as Deborah, Monica as Dan, and Tilman as Christy, the chronicle blends renovation drama, interpersonal tension, and creeping unease into a slow descent toward whatever waits inside Hotel Hell.

Call of Cthulhu "Hotel Hell" Chapter 3: Beneath the Floorboards
Sunday Nov 15, 2020
Sunday Nov 15, 2020
The horror inside the Seven Stars Hotel finally shows its teeth. A gunshot cracks through the upstairs hallway, revealing just how wrong the building truly is. Something headless and impossible drags itself across the carpet, and the reality of what the group is facing can no longer be brushed aside as bad plumbing and wilderness wildlife. Fear turns to panic, and panic becomes urgency.
Down in the flooded basement, the truth grows stranger still. A massive mural—older than anyone expected—begins to shift as if alive, its center widening into a shimmering opening that reflects nowhere on earth. While workers flee and the building groans with pressure from above, Deborah, Dan, and Christy confront a growing sense that the hotel is sitting on the edge of something ancient and hungry. Upstairs, Jared begins unraveling in ways the others cannot see, caught between terror and a whisper that suggests the horror is only beginning.
With the mountain outside smoking, the dead rising, and the hotel’s foundation revealing impossible depths, the group must decide whether to flee into the wilderness or confront whatever has awakened beneath the Seven Stars before it consumes them all.

Years after the first hunt, the nightmare bursts fully into the open as Las Vegas devolves into chaos. Trapped inside the Chemet Hotel, Brian, Kristen, Paul, Jessica, and the wandering hurricane known as Brian Brule try to make sense of a supernatural disaster spiraling out of control. A sinister VIP, unstable rituals, drunken hellhounds, and an improvised spiritual “journey” reveal that the creatures weren’t unleashed by accident—and stopping them won’t be clean, calm, or coherent.
As survivors regroup and information finally clicks into place, an insane plan forms: blast the hellhound-calling horn recording through the casino, lure the pack to the pool, and use the band’s battered semi-truck as a rolling weapon of mass destruction. With sloshing monsters, collapsing floors, a desperate charge through the walls, and a soundtrack loud enough to burst skulls, the team’s only hope is to turn the pool into a graveyard before the city becomes one.
And just when all seems lost, a familiar figure from the first hunt roars back into the story—katana in hand, motorcycle engine screaming—just in time for an explosive finale that leaves the Chemet Hotel in fiery ruin. Marshmallows roast over the wreckage. Credits roll. Survival, somehow, prevails.
About the Chronicle
We Are Being Hunted 2 brings the Slasher Flick series back with a full-tilt, neon-drenched sequel to the original cult favorite. Set in the glimmering excess of Las Vegas, this chronicle follows returning characters and new victims as a familiar supernatural threat tears through casinos, theaters, and back rooms, turning a night of entertainment into a frantic fight to escape the Strip alive.
Blending horror, mayhem, and the signature chaotic humor of Slasher Flick, the story dives deeper into the mystery of the hellhounds, the survivor they refuse to let go, and the doomed strangers caught in their path. In Vegas, the odds are always stacked—but tonight, they’re lethal.
