Set in Minneapolis–St. Paul during the humid summer of 2011, Dread continues to explore the fragile balance of humanity and hunger that binds the Kindred together—and tears them apart.

The Brian Diaries: Twitch with Kosnark from the ST Spira group
Monday Apr 16, 2018
Monday Apr 16, 2018
In this episode we are joined by Kosnark from the ST Spira crew to talk about Twitch and running World of Darkness games on it.
About the Chronicle
Brian’s Diaries serves as a more introspective sister series—part journal, part commentary, part look behind the curtain. In each entry, Chris reflects on his experiences as a storyteller, podcaster, and creator within the Twin Cities by Night community. He also interviews people who are involved in the gaming community for their insights too.
Episodes explore what it means to run long-term chronicles, build living worlds, collaborate with players, and carry the emotional and creative weight of horror storytelling. The tone is honest and personal, sometimes humorous, sometimes somber, always authentic. Whether discussing past games, real-life challenges, or lessons learned through years of running narrative-heavy campaigns, Brian’s Diaries offers a rare, open look at the person behind the stories.

Changeling: The Lost - "Vanity" Chapter 12: The Monster in the Mirror
Friday Apr 13, 2018
Friday Apr 13, 2018
Back inside Raymond’s beach house, the motley tries to salvage a dream-ritual gone wrong. Isabel presses, convinced Charlie’s story doesn’t add up; Frank steadies the room; Katrina tries to keep Raymond from tearing himself—and the Freehold—apart. When Charlie finally breaks, it isn’t a revelation about a Keeper but a confession of dread: what if he is the one to blame? Raymond answers with his own darkest truth, trying to pull the kid back from the edge as Isabel pages Manny. By night’s end, the question isn’t “what did we see,” but “who is pulling the strings—and how much of us do they already own?”
About the Chronicle
Changeling: The Lost — Vanity is a Chronicles of Darkness story set in 1993 South Florida. It follows Katrina, Raymond, Isabel, and Frank as they navigate memory, mask, and meaning after impossible experiences. Themes include the cost of survival, the seduction (and danger) of glamour, and the collision of faith, desire, and control in a world that’s equal parts neon and nightmare.

Changeling: The Lost - "Vanity" Chapter 11: Anchor and Undertow
Friday Apr 13, 2018
Friday Apr 13, 2018
The motley pushes deeper into Charlie’s unraveling. Isabel steadies the room—and Charlie—long enough to pry at the edges of his dream, only for terror to flood back in the waking world. Frank pins the moment in place, Katrina steps up when Raymond breaks for the surf, and hard truths about leadership, fear, and obligation wash over them all. By night’s end, they’re no longer asking what happened so much as who they’re going to be when it does again.

Changeling: The Lost - "Vanity" Chapter 10: The Edge of Sleep
Thursday Apr 12, 2018
Thursday Apr 12, 2018
With dinner cooling and nerves heating, the motley turns a living room into a ritual space. Isabel prepares the air, Katrina softens the edges, Frank stands ready, and Raymond forces a fragile calm so the dream can be entered. What should be a straight path to the truth bends—then snaps—hurling everyone back into the waking world in a rush of panic. On the shoreline, fear and responsibility collide, and the group has to decide who leads when the ground feels like water.

Slavek's Special Snowflake Adventure - Katanas & Consequences
Sunday Apr 01, 2018
Sunday Apr 01, 2018
The chaos hits a fever pitch as the gang’s parody of gothic drama collides with a full-on anime boss battle. Between glowing katanas, trench coats whipping in invisible wind, and ghosts that can’t decide if they’re corporeal or not, the line between satire and sincerity completely disintegrates. Improvised spells, broken rules, and one-liners sharper than the blades themselves define the final showdown of this absurd saga.
About the Chronicle
Episode 3 concludes this wild April Fools’ chronicle—a gleeful send-up of every World of Darkness cliché imaginable. From “majestic” vampire monologues to slow-motion elevator entrances, the group doubles down on self-aware humor and spontaneous storytelling. It’s a love letter to the hobby and a roast of its edgiest corners, played with absolute commitment and zero shame.

Slavek's Special Snowflake Adventure - The Pentagon of Plot Armor
Sunday Apr 01, 2018
Sunday Apr 01, 2018
Our April Fools’ one-shot keeps gleefully skewering World of Darkness tropes—now cranked up to “edge-lord deluxe.” Expect meta-jokes shouted over club beats, katana-fu dramatics, “lightning bolt!” energy, and rules-lawyering that doubles as improv fuel. A secret court, Very Serious Speeches™, and “totally canon” swagger collide as our trio blusters from dance floor to corridors of power. It’s chaotic, improv-heavy satire—played for laughs, not lore—while keeping actual plot details under wraps.
About the Chronicle
Recorded as a tongue-in-cheek special, this mini-arc is a parody of grimdark pretension: katanas, sunglasses indoors, “chosen one” monologues, and neon-drenched club drama all collide. You’ll hear deliberate table banter, send-ups of mechanics, and ad breaks lampooning gaming culture. This is not representative of our usual serious tone—just a celebratory roast of the hobby we love.

The Brian Book Club - Stephen King's "IT"
Saturday Mar 31, 2018
Saturday Mar 31, 2018
Today we talk about Stephen King's 1986 novel "IT" and how it can be used to inspire World of Darkness storytellers and players.
About the Chronicle
Brian’s Book Club is a casual, thoughtful series where Chris discusses horror novels, genre fiction, and books that have shaped the tone and themes of Twin Cities by Night’s storytelling over the years. Each episode blends personal reflection, literary analysis, and grounded discussion on why certain stories resonate so powerfully within the horror genre.
This is not a typical review podcast—Chris focuses on atmosphere, lessons learned, narrative craft, and the emotional impact of each work. For listeners who enjoy horror, literature, behind-the-scenes creative talk, or discovering new stories that spark inspiration, Brian’s Book Club offers a grounded, intimate, and sometimes surprisingly heartfelt experience.

In the humid dark of a Twin Cities summer, what’s left behind says more than what’s found. No Bodies, Only Threads follows a trail of wreckage, vanished allies, and the fraying bonds between those still standing. As old patterns resurface and new ones take shape, the coterie begins to suspect that every answer comes with a debt—and that someone is keeping the ledger.
Set in Minneapolis–St. Paul during the summer of 2011, Dread continues to unravel the quiet horror and uneasy alliances that define Kindred existence in the World of Darkness.
